4. Once you have a loop on the hook for each stitch in the foundation chain, you are ready to begin the return pass.

5. Yarn over and pull through one loop on the hook. This creates the first chain stitch of the return pass.

6. Yarn over again and pull through two loops on the hook. Continue to yarn over and pull through two loops until you have one loop remaining on the hook.
