Tray dessert with custard and shredded pastry is both practical and incredibly tasty. To turn this recipe into a visual delight and achieve a beautiful presentation by serving it on a tray, you can easily follow these steps.

Ingredients for Tray Dessert with Custard:
For preparing the shredded pastry:
- 100 grams of pre-fried shredded pastry
- 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 1 tea cup of walnut kernels

For the custard:
- 1 box of whipped cream
- 1 cup of granulated sugar
- 3 tablespoons of cornstarch
- 3 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
- 1 liter of milk (5 cups)

Instructions for Tray Dessert with Custard:

- The preparation of this recipe is very similar to making custard dessert with shredded pastry. In this recipe, we used pre-fried shredded pastry that can be bought ready-made. If you choose to use raw shredded pastry, first let it sit in the freezer for a day, then break it into small pieces and fry it in a pan over low heat until it changes color. Shredded pastry that has been in the freezer is easier to break.

- In a wide pan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter, then add 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar and stir until the sugar is dissolved in the butter.

- Add the fried shredded pastry and walnut kernels into the mixture, and stir over low heat until the sugary mixture coats all the shredded pastry.

- The shredded pastry is ready, take it off the heat and proceed to make the custard.

- Mix 1 liter of milk, 1 cup of granulated sugar, 3 tablespoons of cornstarch, and 3 tablespoons of all-purpose flour in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat until it thickens to custard consistency and starts to bubble. Once the custard mixture starts to bubble, remove it from the heat and add 1 box of whipped cream. Beat it well with a mixer.

- For this recipe, you can use a tray. Start by spreading a layer of custard on the tray, then add the shredded pastry on top. Spread another layer of custard, and finish with custard on the very top. You can decorate with pomegranate seeds or nuts. This recipe yields approximately 4 servings.

Tray custard dessert, or commonly known as portioned custard with shredded pastry, can be served after cooling in the refrigerator for a while. It's a very practical and delicious recipe. Even though custard with shredded pastry is made without cream, its taste and texture are still wonderful. Besides a tray, you can also apply this recipe in a bowl, and it will yield the same result.
