Instructions for Strawberry Ice Cream:
- Start by blending half a kilogram of strawberries (with stems removed and washed) with 1 cup of granulated sugar in a blender for about 3 minutes.
- Cook the strawberry puree with 1 cup of milk in a saucepan, stirring occasionally, for about half an hour.
- After cooking, add a mixture of 1 tablespoon of milk and 1 teaspoon of starch to the mixture and cook for another 5 minutes while stirring.
- Take the cooked ice cream mixture off the heat and add 1 box of plain whipped cream. Blend it for about 3 minutes using a mixer.
- Transfer the ready mixture into a container and let it sit in the deep freezer overnight.
- Your homemade strawberry ice cream is now ready. Enjoy!
By using the boiling method, we evaporated the excess water from the strawberries and milk, resulting in a strawberry ice cream that doesn't form ice crystals and has the perfect texture. The whipped cream gives it a nice consistency. This strawberry ice cream recipe is reliable and easy to make.
Additionally, it's budget-friendly with minimal ingredients. Unlike yogurt-based or salep-based recipes, which unfortunately have a risk of forming ice crystals, eliminating this requires some effort. In these types of salep or yogurt ice creams, you need to take the prepared product out of the freezer every 3 hours, blend it until it's smooth, and stir it until it's ready. This process can be quite laborious, potentially taking a full day to make one batch of ice cream. Our strawberry ice cream recipe, on the other hand, only requires one freezing session, and you won't need to deal with any extra stirring. It's ready with the perfect ice cream texture.
