Making a natural roll-on for underarms is quite simple, using edible ingredients commonly found in kitchens. This recipe, enriched with natural oils and baking soda, not only helps prevent body odor but also soothes and nourishes the sensitive underarm area. Below are the ingredients you'll need:
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon coconut oil
1 teaspoon St. John's Wort oil
About 5 drops of lavender oil
1 teaspoon baking soda
For the preparation, we used an empty underarm cream bottle. This allows for easy application of the roll-on we'll be making. In the empty bottle, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil, 1 teaspoon of coconut oil, 1 teaspoon of St. John's Wort oil, about 5 drops of lavender oil, and 1 teaspoon of baking soda. Mix until the coconut oil is fully dissolved. The baking soda may not completely dissolve and will settle at the bottom. Close the lid and start using. Since the baking soda doesn't dissolve completely, shake the bottle a few times before each use to ensure it comes into contact with your skin.
For this DIY roll-on, the key ingredient that combats body odor is the baking soda. Sweat itself is odorless; it's the bacteria that accumulate in places like the underarms that cause the odor. Baking soda eliminates these bacteria. The oils included in this recipe nourish the skin and, when combined with baking soda, enhance its effectiveness and emit a pleasant lavender scent.
