Delicious Bakery-Style Pastry Puffs Recipe

Ingredients for Amazing Bakery-Style Pastry Puffs:
- Approximately 5.5 cups of flour (quantity may vary depending on the quality of the flour)
- 2 eggs
- 1 packet of instant yeast
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- 1/3 cup of milk
- 1/3 cup of vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- Filling: Cheese and parsley mixture
- 250 grams of butter

Instructions for Bakery-Style Pastry Puffs:
1. Mix 2 tablespoons of sugar and 1 packet of instant yeast into 1/3 cup of milk. Stir well and let it sit for 15 minutes to activate the yeast.

2. Place 5.5 cups of flour in a bowl and create a well in the center.

3. Add 1 egg white (save the yolk for later), the activated yeast mixture, 250 grams of melted butter, and salt. Knead until you have a non-sticky dough.

4. Let the dough rest and rise for about 45 minutes.

5. Divide the risen dough into balls the size of walnuts and place them on the counter.

6. Flatten the center of each ball using your hand, making sure the bottom is thin. This will create a split in the center without completely separating the dough. Then, stretch and fill with the cheese mixture, and seal it shut. Finally, use your palm to gently press down on the thin part, creating a thick lip.

7. Arrange the shaped pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with the reserved egg yolk.

8. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and bake for approximately 25-30 minutes, or until they are golden brown and puffed up.

This pastry puff recipe ensures that nobody will realize they were made at home. The cheese and parsley filling is used in this recipe, but you can also use potato or cheddar cheese if you prefer. Follow these steps for an authentic bakery-style result.

The purpose of shaping the pastries with a thick lip is to allow the area with the filling to expand and rise more easily in the oven. The raised portion will remain stable, resulting in a beautifully shaped pastry.
