Hello everyone, and welcome back to my YouTube channel! In today's tutorial, I'll show you how to create these adorable mini wallet pouches. They are simple to make, and they can be very handy in your daily life. I hope you'll love this easy-to-follow crochet tutorial. Let's get started!

Materials You Will Need:

  • [List of required materials]
  • [Crochet abbreviations]

Step 1: Creating the First Applique

  1. Start by making a slip knot.
  2. Next, create 17 chains.
  3. Now, crochet from the second chain from the hook and make one single crochet in each of the following chains (16 single crochets in total).
  4. After completing the first row, turn your work, make one chain, and crochet one single crochet in each stitch for 16 stitches in the second row.
  5. Continue crocheting in rows, making one chain and turning at the end of each row. Repeat this process until you have a total of 13 rows.

Once you've completed 13 rows, cut the end of the yarn, leaving a long tail. Make another piece exactly the same.

Step 2: Creating the Second Applique

  1. Start by making a slip knot and then create six chains.
  2. Crochet one single crochet into each chain, resulting in five single crochets.
  3. Turn your work, make one chain, and crochet one single crochet into each stitch for a total of 5 stitches in the second row.
  4. Continue until you have 41 rows in total.

Once you’ve completed the second applique, cut the end of the yarn, leaving a long tail. Now we are ready to sew the appliques together to form the pouch.

Step 3: Sewing the Appliques Together

  1. Position the two pieces together, making sure both sides are aligned properly.
  2. Sew the edges together carefully, ensuring the pieces are even.
  3. Alternatively, you can crochet the pieces together using slip stitch or single crochet, but sewing gives a cleaner finish.

Once the sides are sewn together, flip the pouch inside out.

Step 4: Creating the Lid (Cover)

  1. Insert your hook into the first stitch of the top edge and make one single crochet.
  2. Skip the next stitch, crochet single crochets into the rest of the row, and then make one single crochet into the last stitch.
  3. Continue crocheting until you have 18 single crochets in total, making sure to crochet in a similar manner for subsequent rows.
  4. Complete the rows until you have a total of 11 rows.

Step 5: Decreasing the Size

For the next two rows, you will make decreases. Start by crocheting a single decrease at the beginning and end of each row. Continue until you have reached the desired shape for the lid.

Step 6: Crocheting the Sides

  1. Crochet one single crochet into each stitch along the sides of the lid.
  2. Once finished, you’ll have 38 single crochets in total.

Step 7: Creating the Nose and Eyes

For the nose:

  1. Start with a magic ring and make six single crochets.
  2. Continue with increases until you reach the desired size.
  3. Once complete, sew the nose in the center of the face.

For the eyes:

  1. Use 5mm eyes for the bear (or 6mm for the cat) and sew them into place, ensuring they are about 2 stitches apart from the nose.

Step 8: Adding the Ears

For the ears:

  1. Start with a magic ring and crochet a few rounds to form the shape of the ears.
  2. Sew the ears onto the pouch cover at the appropriate spots, making sure they are evenly positioned.

Step 9: Final Touches

Once the ears are in place, sew on any extra details like the mouth or additional embroidery to add personality to your pouch. You can also add a snap button to close the wallet.

Now you have your very own cute, functional, and useful mini wallet pouch!
