Poppy Seed Cookies: A Recipe That Stays Fresh for Months!

To prepare the mouthwatering poppy seed cookies, you'll need:

- 5 cups of flour
- Half a cup of poppy seeds
- 200 grams of butter
- 1/3 cup of vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon of mahlab
- 1 teaspoon of vinegar
- 1/3 teaspoon of salt
- 1/3 teaspoon of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 2 egg whites

Instructions:

1. Mix 2 egg whites, 200 grams of butter, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of sugar, 1/3 cup of vegetable oil, 1 teaspoon of mahlab, 1 teaspoon of vinegar, and 1 teaspoon of baking powder thoroughly.

2. Add half a cup of poppy seeds and gradually knead in 5 cups of flour. Knead the dough well.

3. Tear off pieces of dough the size of a walnut and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with egg yolk. You can shape the poppy seed cookies in any way you like.

4. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees Celsius for about 35-40 minutes.
